Exploration is another way of learning new things in life. It might be about supporting your career path or fulfilling your biggest dreams. We have different reasons why we chose to explore, and I would say that through it, it made me have another set of new dreams, tasted new cuisines, added new checklists of places I went to, new teaching experiences especially, new great friends.

At first, I was too hesitant to join the SEA-Teacher program seeing that everything there would be new and tough. There would be huge adjustments regarding the environment and food as well as the people I would interact with. However, the anxiety of experiencing new things disappeared when Jakarta became a home. 

When we arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, I told myself that I would make my whole stay in this country the best, and I did. I enjoyed trying new cuisines like Sate Ayam, Ayam Madura, Sate Padang, Nasi Goreng, Mie Juhi, and in like manner. We also tried riding a bus going to one place and another – not just by car booking on Gojek. We also went to different malls – a thrift and fancy one. Hence, I believe these activities were common, especially if you want to know more about the place. These are some of the activities and explorations I encountered in Jakarta.
